Audubon is pleased to welcome Chad Dayton to the Audubon Minnesota board!
Chad is well known for his philanthropic endeavors and his passion for the outdoors. His expertise in education, organizational planning, and nonprofit management will bolster Audubon Minnesota’s conservation work.
Currently, Chad is the owner/principal of Outdoor Solutions, LLC, which is small firm dedicated to advancing experiential education, broadening engagement with public lands and waters, and increasing equitable opportunities to engage with nature through program advising, policy advocacy, and community engagement.
Chad teaches courses for the University of Minnesota and he is involved in the following organizations:
• Friends of the Mississippi River
• Minnesota Zoo Foundation
• National Park Trust
• Dodge Nature Center
• Minnesota Children's Museum
• Northland College
• Minnesota State Water Trails Advisory Council
Chad started teaching outdoor education in 2009 and has served as the Associate Director for Wilderness Inquiry as well as an instructor for National Outdoor Leadership School and Wilderness Medicine Institute. He also taught college English and Writing for a decade.
Chad is excited to join Audubon Minnesota’s board and support Audubon’s conservation programs in the Mississippi River and the Great Lakes watersheds. His favorite bird is the barred owl.
